Revamping McKenzie Valve: Modernizing Brand and Website for Enhanced User Experience

McKenzie Valve and Machining is a manufacturer of tank car valves and a leading player in the rail industry with over 25 years of experience. They had worked hard to curate a loyal customer base with their reliable products and customer service, but they wanted to be able to modernize their brand, serve their audience with a more functional website, and provide them with engaging content.

They approached us with these goals in mind, and we took on this project with clear ideas for how to help McKenzie Valve achieve this.

The design phase of the new McKenzie Valve website began with redefining the visual brand by taking successful existing elements from their current website and combining them with more modern, appealing imagery. We explored new design possibilities as well with responsive elements that would make their site more interactive and engaging for users.

Wanting to cater towards McKenzie Valve’s customers, we wanted to make it simpler for them to locate the products and information that they needed. This resulted in creating a product search feature that allows users to look up the McKenzie Valve equivalents of their competitors’ valves for easy replacement.

We also implemented product filters customers can use to refine their search parameters to quickly locate the exact product they need.

All of this work aims to please customers and streamline sales by getting users what they need quickly while also providing them with a unique, interactive experience if they choose to peruse the site further.

Making the McKenzie Valve brand discoverable on search engines is vital to making sure our work isn’t lost in the digital void. We crafted website copy and blog posts incorporating important industry keywords that we wanted McKenzie Valve to rank for. These blogs also provide informational content that serves their audience and shares more about their brand.
